Moors Youth was established in 1998 and at that
time only had between 30 and 40 members. Over the years, the club has grown and
in 2005 received the FA Charter Standard Award and the FA Charter Community Standard Award in September 2011.
We currently have over 200
members and run teams from U7s right through to U15s.
The Mini Soccer U7s - U10s play on Saturdays and
Sundays in local leagues, The Exeter Friendly League and the Mid Devon League.
The U11s - U15s play in the Taunton Youth Leagues, on Sundays, except the U11s
who play on Saturdays.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, family based club and every year we go
on tour, which is open to all the age groups. In the past, we have been to
Newquay, Isle of Wight, Mullion, Bournemouth and the U15s have been to
Barcelona. We also run trips to local football clubs and Premiership Clubs,
Where again we take all the age groups. We find these trips good for team and
club bonding.
All Moors Merchandise and Moors Trips are non Profit making. We do a lot of
fundraising and are very lucky to have some great sponsors and a very
enthusiastic committee.
On the football front, we want the children to enjoy everything about the game,
from training right through to the matches. We encourage players of all
abilities and want them to not worry about the future, but enjoy the moment now.
All our Coaches are at Level 1 Teaching Standard, and all are Police checked and
have up to date first aid training.
We also have our own annual six a-side Tournament, where we invite clubs from
all over the county to come and compete.
At the end of the season we hold an awards day where trophies are presented to
players, we have eleven categories plus squad trophies, no player goes home
empty handed.
All our coaches and helpers do their best to make sure the children enjoy all
that football has to offer them. |
